TAMENGLONG: As many as 240 students from nine schools appeared the HSLC conducted by Board of Secondary Education Manipur at Tamenglong Higher Secondary School exam centre this year. Out of 241 registered to appear the HSLC exam one student identifying as Khundrapam Arun Meitei, Roll No 20748 of Namtiram High School in Tousem Sub- Division of Tamenglong was found absent today.
In the meantime, K. Humaliabou, Chairman Zeliangrong Students Union Manipur, ZSUM informed the reporter through telephone wish the students appearing in HSLC and HSSLC at Tamenglong district. He also urged all the students to abstain from unfair means. Out 240 students appearing HSLC today are from nine schools like 31 students from Christian Model English School, Don Bosco high school 34 students, Namtiram H/S- 01, Tamenglong Higher Secondary School students 30, United Builder school 43, Pretty Lamp Instiutute 40, Model Village H/S 22, Christian Grammar School has 33 students and Tousem H/S has 6 students appearing the exam today. On the other hand, a portion of the ceiling of t he SDC office Tamenglong collapsed all of sudden here afternoon today but none received casualty even though it occurred at crowed time. “On seeing the creaking bigger and bigger of t he RCC ceiling we all rush outside, just then the ceiling fall down destroying the office properties” said KG Daigong, SDC who is working inside his office around 1 pm today. RCC (Reinforced Cement Concrete) plaster of 6 sq feet area collapsed today. When examined the collapsed RCC plaster, it seems collapse due to lack of quality control or too old building. Sumant Singh, IAS, Deputy Commissioner Tamenglong inspect the room and allot a new room for KG Daigong, SDC Tamenglong here around 2:55 pm today. |
