Imphal: Lauding All Zeliangrong Students Union (AZSU) for expressing its concern and interest in resolving the issues besetting the community, Zeliangrong Interim Body (ZIB) asserted that the task must not be left to ZIB only.
ZIB however opined that it would have been easier to clarify the doubt, had it been discussed personally rather than going to the media.
Keeping its points to the general public, ZIB in a press release said that all the recommendations/drafts which the ZIB is going to take up in the second Zeliangrong General Public Convention to be held at Samzuiram, Jalukie, Nagaland, are prepared within January 31 .
It further said that the members of the ZIB tried their level best to accomplish the assigned duties within the limited time frame.
Out of 90 days, the month of December and half of the month of January were interspersed with festivals, marriages and other programmes, it added.
ZIB maintained that it goes without saying that organisation of consultations of such sensitive issues and preparation of drafts for amendment of constitution to please the Zeliangrong people living in three States are time consuming process.
Inviting all to co-operate them, ZIB said that the body is ready to discuss the issues relating to its functioning, efforts and the proposed convention. Source: The Sangai Express |
