Imphal, February 02 2010: Display of traditional attires will be the theme feature of the biggest ever Liangmai tribe women conglomeration at Liangchi (Makui) along the I.T.Road in Senapati district where Rev.Boipu Serto, Pastor of English Ministry, South Korea will be the main speaker of the occasion which kick-starts from Thursday.
The 3rd Liangmai Naga Baptist Association (LNBA) Women Quinquennial Fellowship will witness cultural bonanza, concerts, crafts mela and other items which will conclude on February 7 .
Hill Area Committee (HAC) chairman Thangminlien Kipgen will be the chief guest while social worker Athuan Abonmai will be the guest of honour on the occasion.
It is expected that thousands of Liangmai women will participate in the event.
One unique way of the programme is that from every Liangmai village in the hill districts, atleast two to three women have been given certain assignments in the four four-day event.
Meanwhile, Planning Committee chairman of the event M.Liangpibou appeals everyone to kindly not to call any agitation during the 4-day programme of the Liangmai women. |
