Nambon.com is launched in an attempt to expose and give a
clearer and broader picture of the zeliangrong Naga its ethnosocio cultural
identity, their culture and tradition, people, socioeconomic conditions,
environment, flora and fauna of the place and other related stories and issues
to the rest of the world through the World Wide Web. With its aim and objective
being bringing about changes in the soceity from this little exposure, this
website strives to bring the people out of backwardness, poverty, illiteracy and
ignorance. Further the vision is to bring about maximum development in soceity
and in education amongst the Zeliangrong.
Motto "Bridging Information
Divide/Gap"
Hamei News Group is alocal weekly paper with
the objectives to expose each and every one of the place to global issues by
publishing the paper in local dialect "Zeliangronglad" under the nomenclature "Pawan
Racham", basically the paper is published in Liangmai dalect. Centralized to
bridge the information divide/gap the Hamai News Group started launchig their
first paper with an assistance from Commmunity Information Centre, Tamei Block,
covering Assam, Manipur & Nagaland on this day the 10th June 2003. With great
efforts and an assistancee from CIC incharge Mn. Albert Chawang, Mn. N.A Mathew
Zeme, M.pagabou, N.Takamthui and Ab. Poulinbou, We could launch this website
too. We the Hamai News Group welcomes any suggestions and tips fom all for the
better.
Nambonbou Chawang belongs to Liangmai Naga tribe (a
sub-tribe of Zeliangrong Naga). Late Nambon hailed from Inkou village India. He
is an eminent figure in our soceity. The site is hosted in Loving Memory of Late
Nambonbou Chawang by his youngest son Machangbibou Chawang in association with
Hamei News Group for the improvement of Rural Development & Modern Technology in the Zeliangrong Society who's native residence is in Assam, Manipur and Nagaland
