Father Who Carries His Child

Deuteronomy 1: 31. You saw, how the Lord your God carried you, as a father carries his son, all the way you went (in the wilderness )until you reached this place.

1. Here we see a father who carries his son. Father is the man,who loves the child so much. Some father's may not show it outwardly. But deep in his heart he loves the child so much. He feeds him, teaches him, protects him, provides him, punishes him, corrects him, but when the child cannot walk due to difficult path or tiredness, he will carry him. He is ready to sacrifice anything for the wellbeing of his child.. This is father's love and we can't match his love with that of anyone. Today we would have lost our earthly father, but remember that you have a Heavenly father. His eyes have seen us before we were born, when we were in our mother's womb. From the day we were formed in our mother's womb till today, He is the one who leads us, blessed us, provides us and He is with us always 24/7. That is why He is called as lmmanuel. Not only that, when we can't walk further, He carries us. Let us meditate the love of our Heavenly father.

This father loved us so much that He gave His only son to die for our sins so that we will be saved from our sins. Also,He gave us the inheritance to call Him Abba Father, through Holy Spirit. Not only that, He carried us in our past and present life of wildeñess, but also He promised to carry us till the end of our life and He gave us the right to become His child through the blood of Jesus. What a great blessing we received!

2. All the way you went, until you reached this place - Yes, in our sorrows, in sickness, in death bed, in our failures and in our happiness our Heavenly father was with us, and carried us. What a great love He has on us ! Let us realize and love Him more and thank Him more.
This is our father's promise. Isaiah 46: 4.Even to your old age and grey hairs, l am He, l am He who will sustain you,l have made you, and l will carry you, l will sustain you and l will rescue you. This Is the greatest assurance we have in our life.

3. You saw - Yes, we saw how our Heavenly father carried us, we realised and experienced even when àll our loved ones failed to show their love on us, even when all our doors were closed,He was there to help us, comfort us and carry us. Let us also love Him, obey Him and become our Heavenly father's child, that too pet child. Let this be our ambition in our life to do our father's will. Let us not loose our faith like lsraelites who murmured against Him.

Let us praise Him with our thankful heart. Let us also lead many to become His children and to receive His blessings. Amen.Hallelujah.

What do our hearts reveal about us to others?

These chapters reveal to us the heart of Moses

❤ The painful and heavy heart of Moses.
We can imagine how painful Moses' heart would have been to know that he would not enter into the promised land along with the Israelites.
He had spent 40 long years of his life with them all along their wilderness journey, taking part in their ups and downs. Now he was not allowed to see the end result.

❤ The pleading heart of Moses.
Moses pleaded with the Lord to allow him to go over and see the good land, the fine country beyond Jordan How he must have longed to set his foot on that wonderful land flowing with milk and honey!

❤ The passionate heart of Moses.
Moses knew that if this new generation of Israelites did not obey the law of the Lord then God would break His covenant with them and would abandon them.

So he reminded them the laws of the Lord once again and advised them to follow them as a father does to his beloved children.

❤ The shepherd - heart of Moses.
It would have been easy for Moses to have had a bad attitude, to have said, "Why should I bother anyway? I'm not the leader anymore!"

But that was not what he did. He did everything he could because he loved the people dearly.

So he prepared them to take possession of the promised land.

He also commissioned Joshua, encouraged him and strengthened him to lead the people according to what God commanded him. ( Deuteronomy 3:28 )

Though God did not allow Moses to enter into the promised land because of his sinful act of disobedience at Meribah, the gracious Lord loved his servant so much that He took him to the peak Pisgah of Mount Nebo and let him have a look at that beautiful country.

❤ May the Lord give us a heart that is fully devoted to Him so that we would never lack in zeal in serving Him till the last breath of our life as Moses did.

God is the source of man's life

~ A blessing is not a thing it's the favor of God spoken over you ~ Your faith can move mountains and your doubt can create them.

For the Lord your God has blessed you in all the work of your hand. He knows your trudging through this great wilderness. These forty years the Lord your God has been with you, you have lacked nothing. Deuteronomy 2:7.

We serve a God who is our provider and He provides us bountifully and abundantly. The above scripture portion tells us that God was with the children of Israel and they lacked nothing, When God is on our side, we don't lack in any area of our life. The children of Israel in the wilderness never worked for government, private sector, multinationals or had their own businesses, but God was with them and He blessed the work of their hands and they lacked nothing not for one or two years, but for forty years.

When God is on our side we lack nothing, there is no limit to His provision, He keeps on giving and giving and He keeps no track of His giving. God is the greatest giver, He gave us His only Son Jesus to die on the cross to redeem us from the curse of the law, sin, sickness, poverty and death. Those who know, believe, follow and walk with God never lack in any area of their life. The Israelites lacked nothing in the desert God gave them manna, meat and water on time, their clothes and footwear didn't wear out, there was not one sick and feeble amongst them, they had gold and silver which they wore to their hearts content and they gave liberally and abundantly for the Lord's work.

Many of us doubt God in the area of provision, sometimes we forget that we serve the Creator of this universe, we forget that the earth and it's fullness belongs to our God, He can give anything, anytime, anywhere. He fed the Israelites in the wilderness for forty years, He asked ravens to feed Elijah with bread and meat twice every day in a famine land, An angel delivered Elijah hot hot cake and a jar of water when he was fleeing from Jezebel for his life, When God tells the creation has no other option left, but to simply listen and obey.

Jesus fed the five thousand with five loaves of bread and two fishes in a remote place where there was no food and money on hand to buy food. God's provision exceeds our needs after feeding the five thousand there was twelve baskets of leftovers, that's our God, a God of abundance.

The above scripture portion tells us that He blesses the work of our hands, many of us wrongly ask and pray to God to bless our jobs, careers or businesses, instead of asking God to bless the work of our hands. Many don't work at all and they want to be blessed, How can we be blessed when we don't work with our hands?, God blesses the work of our hands, if we don't work, What should He bless?. God rained manna and meat, but the Israelites had to go out every day and collect it with their hands. The young lad who gave Jesus his lunch box of five loaves of bread and two fishes had given the work of his moms hands into Jesus hands, Jesus blessed it and fed five thousand people with it. David never sat at home telling that God has anointed him to be the future king of Israel, so I will not work anymore, he worked as a shepherd boy and he carried his brothers lunch boxes everyday and then he became the king of Israel and he left a rich inheritance to his childrens children. Jesus when He walked on the face of this earth was in His Father's business from the age of twelve, and He increased in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and men.

Beloved Jesus took the nails in the palm of His hands on the cross, so that our hands would be blessed. Today give your hands to God and ask Him to bless the work of your hands. If you don't have work in your hands ask Him to give you the grace to search for work, so that He could bless the work of your hands and see Him blessing the work of your hands and prospering you in every area of your life. You will not only be blessed, but you will leave a rich inheritance to your children's children.

Do you see a man who excels in his work?. He will stand before Kings. He will not stand before unknown men. Proverbs 22:29.

A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children. Proverbs 13:22.

God loves you
