There is nothing like getting saved when one is young ~ When a old man is saved his soul alone is saved ~ When a young man is saved not only his soul but his life is saved.

* You survive and succeed because of the word of God.
Now O Israel, listen to the statues and the judgements which I teach you to observe that you may live, and go in and possess the land which the Lord God of your fathers is giving you.

* God turns slaves into great, wise and understanding people.
Therefore be careful to observe them, for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples who will hear all these statues and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.

* Teach the word of God and His miracle working power to your future generations.
Only take heed to yourself, and diligently keep yourself, lest you forget the things that your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. And teach them to your children and your grandchildren.Deuteronomy 4:1,6,9.

We serve a God who not only loves us, but He also loves our future generations. The above scripture portion tells us about the importance of the word of God and His miracle working power and He is reminding and asking the Israelites to move it forward to the future generations.

Gods desire, plan, purpose and vision is to see the entire earth filled with Godly children (Malachi 2:15) that is the reason why He blessed Adam and Eve to be fruitful, multiply and fill the earth, so that they could subdue and have dominion over everything that He created.

Many neglect the importance of the word of God and His miracle working power in their lives. Even some religious churches preach the word of God for just ten or fifteen minutes and then they get into man made religious activities for hours. The word of God has the power to heal, deliver, encourage, strengthen, prosper and give us wisdom, understanding and revelation. If we lack in the word of God, then we lack in every area of our lives.

The problem in the body of Christ is that many don't know the importance of the word of God in their lives, and they don't move the word of God and His miracle working power to the future generations. The reason is they don't spend time in the word of God. Many marry unbelievers which God has forbidden and there it ends, what little they know also comes to an end and it doesn't move forward to the future generations, What moves forward is the things of this world. David knew God and His miracle working power intimately and he passed it on to his son Solomon, Solomon also knew and walked with God for some time, but he could not pass it on to his future generations as his father David did, because he married unbelievers and they successfully turned his heart away from the living God to man made god's.

Satans main target is families, it knows that if the husband and wife know the word of God and His miracle working power, it will move forward to the future generations, so it tries to separate them and sadly many fall prey to its target. Satan's target is not us, but the word of God inside of us, it's target is our future generations, it knows that if the word of God and His miracle working power moves further down to our future generations then God's desire, plan, purpose and vision will come to pass.

As parents it is our God given responsibility to teach our children the word of God and His miracle working power, so that they would know, believe, follow and walk with God and they in turn will move it forward to the future generations. If we don't teach our children the word then the devil will teach them through the world. We should encourage our children to read, meditate, practice and pray the word of God regularly, we should encourage them to attend church and Bible study regularly, so that they could lead a successful life here on this earth and spend eternity with Jesus in heaven. What good is it to be a President, Prime minister, King or a Billionaire here on this earth without knowing Jesus and landing up in hell to be with the devil for eternity.

Today make a decision to teach the word of God and His miracle working power to your children, tell them about the miracles that God had performed in your life and in the lives of others, tell them so that they could lead a successful life here on this earth and spend eternity with Jesus in heaven.

Train up a child in the way he should go And when he is old he will not depart from it.Proverbs 22:6.

The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice, And he who begets a wise child will delight in him.

Let your father and mother be glad, And let her who bore you rejoice.Proverbs 23:24,25.

God loves you

Let our children be influenced by God's Word

"These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts" (Deuteronomy 6: 6). It is alarming to see the rapidity of spiritual decline in the Christian world. It is said that if this current trend continues, the churches will be reduced to half by 2030.Statistics say that the percentage of people claiming no religion has risen remarkably all over the globe.

Of these most of them are teen-agers and young children.

Deuteronomy 6: 4-9 is the most vital parenting passage in the Bible. If followed it has the power to reverse those statistics. This passage givesthree golden rulesfor the parents to bring up their children in godly ways

First, love the Lord of your God with all your heart, soul and strength.
The single most powerful influence in a child's life is in his/her parents' passionate love for the Lord Jesus Christ. (Deuteronomy 6: 4-5)

Second, let God's Word be on your heart.
We must love God's Word and read it daily. It is more important than newspapers, TV or other hobbies. Our children should see us reading God's Word every morning or evening. (Deuteronomy 6: 6)

Third, We must share with our children spontaneously any verse the God gives us.
We must speak about them when we are at home, drive down the road, lie down at night and get up in the morning. Our natural conversations at home should be seasoned with God's Word. It is like constantly planting seeds in the fertile hearts of our young ones. (Deuteronomy 6: 7-9)

Bible teachers call this passage as Deuteronomy 6 passage.
How good if our churches become D6 churches and all the parents become D6 parents in sharing God's words with our children.!

Privileged People

Moses recalled to the new generation the Mount Sinai experience. The Israelites stood at the foot of the mountain. It was a terrifying experience for all of them as God spoke to them from the midst of the fire.

And the mountain burned with fire to the midst of heaven, with darkness, cloud, and thick darkness."And the LORD spoke to you out of the midst of the fire. You heard the sound of the words, but saw no form; you only heard a voice (Deu 4:11, 12).

Moses added further:

"Did any people ever hear the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as you have heard, and live? (Deu 4:33). 'For who is there of all flesh who has heard the voice of the living God speaking from the midst of the fire, as we have, and lived? (Deu 5:26).

Then comes the Most Comforting, Thought Provoking Statement of Moses:

"For what great nation is there that has God so near to it, as the LORD our God is to us, for whatever reason we may call upon Him? (Deu 4:7).

God is so near to us when we call upon Him whatever could be the reason. We need not go anywhere to call upon Him. There are No Special Places, No Unique Penance, No Specific Time or Day or Month or Year to call upon Him.

Whatever be our prayer request, God is near us to hear us, answer us, deliver us, provide for us, protect us and bless us. He is Immanuel, God with us. We can call Him ALL 24 HOURS, ALL the 7 DAYS of the week and throughout the year.

Most of the time situations make us consider ourselves to be unlucky and less fortunate. But actually we are privileged because God is near us. He is so approachable. He is ready to help us provided we call Him.

Don’t ever stop calling on Him. He is a prayer answering God. Let not delays stop us from calling unto Him for help. God is an ever-present help in times of trouble.

Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me (Ps 50:15). Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, Whose hope is in the LORD his God (Ps 146:5).

God bless us to be channels of blessings.

Deuteronomy 4:31

"For the LORD your God is a compassionate God; He will not fail you nor destroy you nor forget the covenant with your fathers which He swore to them".

In Deuteronomy,...........
Moses was once again instructed to repeat the Law of God in the ears of a new generation of Israelites.

Before going through the entire Law of Moses, with its 613 requirements, Moses reminded the Israelites of
……….. God's goodness and grace -
………….His kindness and faithfulness:
…….. For the LORD your God is a compassionate God; He will not fail you nor destroy you - nor will He forget the covenant with your fathers, which He swore to them.

God proved, in many ways, to be a faithful and gracious God to His errant children.

………. the nation of Israel had failed God many times.
They had fallen into idolatry,
complained and rejected His leadership.

But God was fortunately for them a forgiving God.
He gave them many chances to learn from their mistakes and serve Him properly.
Israel did not learn from their mistakes.

What about us?

Can we…………,
Take responsibility for our mistakes.
Learn a life lesson from our mistakes.
Experience humility in our mistake..
Grow in honesty

♦ Be filled with faith.
♦ Know that we can always come before God with the burdens of our past.

God will fix our mistakes when we call out to Him, repent, and ask for forgiveness and restoration.
