Affliction in Egypt, discovery of baby Moses

Moses is the main character in the book of Exodus. God used him as a mighty weapon in His Hands to deliver the Israelites from their bondage in Egypt.

The upbringing of Moses

The Pharoah of Egypt got frightened about the growth of Israelites and decided to oppress them with hard labour. To control their population, the Pharoah of Egypt ordered that all the male children born to Hebrews should be thrown into the Nile river.

The parents of Moses, kept him in hiding for 3 months risking their lives. Finally his mother put him in a specially made Papyrus basket and kept it in Nile river. The daughter of Pharoah, saw him in that condition and decided to take care of him as her son. Exodus 2:1-6. Miriam, the elder sister of Moses, was looking at what was happening. She offered to arrange a Hebew woman to take care of the child. That is how, the Princess entrusted Moses to his own mother to nurse him as a child.

Exodus 2:1 tells us that his parents are from Levite family. Exodus 6:20 tells us that Amram and Jochebad were the parents of Aaron and Moses. Exodus 15:20 tells that Miriam was their sister. 1 Chronicles. 6:1-3 tells us that the father of Aaron, Moses and Miriam was Amram.

The daughter of Pharoah gave the responsibility to nurse the child in infancy. After he was weaned- maybe around 3 years, Moses was given back to the royal family, where he was brought up as an Egyptian royal family member. Exodus 2:6-8.

The upbringing of Moses as a small child was excellent. Though he was so small, his parents taught him about his God, what he should do and what he should not do.His parents were people who knew their God and people who walk the talk.

The Godly atmosphere in the family and their Godly upbringing is amazing. That helped their elder daughter Miriam to become a prophetess.Ex.15:20. Their second child Aaron became the high priest.(Exodus 28:1;38:21; Numbers.3:6; Psalm.99:6) Moses, their younger son was a priest( Psalm.99:6) and a prophet.(Deut.34:10). Numbers 12:3, says he was the most humble man on the face of the earth.

What could have happened if the parents of Moses were not giving proper upbringing to Moses? He would have identified himself as an Egyptian prince with their faith and practices.

Because of his exemplary upbringing as a child
By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharoah's daughter. He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a short time. He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward. By faith, he left Egypt, not fearing the king's anger; he persevered because he saw him who is invisible. Hebrews.11:24-27.

Few highlights.

1. Moses refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh's daughter. (He could have even become the future Pharaoh.)

2. He chose to be mistreated along with the Isrealites, who were slaves.

3. He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt.

4. By faith ,he left Egypt...

I am amazed at the Godly influence of a Godly couple ,who were slaves in a foreign country, on their children. Their elder daughter Miriam became a prophetess, their first son Aaron became the High priest and their younger son Moses ,whom they could care only for around 3 years became one who was used by God to deliver His people from bondage.

How is our spiritual life?

How is the spiritual upbringing of our children?

What are they doing for the Lord?

Are they running after the worldly name, fame and possessions or are they going after God?

What is their ministry involvement today?

May God help us to be Godly parents like Amram and Jochebed and may our children grow as Miriam, Aaron and Moses to change the world history.

Pharoah's Palace- A Grooming Place for a Future Jewish Leader, Moses!

Moses started off life, with a death threat against him, being born as a baby boy at a time when the Pharoah of that time wanted all newborn Hebrew males dead!

From being hidden among the bulrushes of the Nile ( Exodus 2:3) we know how God preserved his life by having this same Pharoah's daughter rescue him and bring him up as her own son! How ironic is that?
Isn't it wonderful how the schemes of man cannot prevail over the plans of God?
God sets upside down the so- called threats of Pharoah.

Pharoah wanted to destroy and diminish the Hebrew population.
God worked things out so that a mighty and effective Hebrew leader arose from among the very babies he was trying to kill.
This leader was saved and sheltered and brought up by no less than Pharoah's own daughter!!!
There was no safer place than in the wicked Pharoah's own daughter's home...Moses who was hidden as a baby in the bulrushes of the Nile, was then hidden in plain sight- right in Pharoah's household!

It seems like God was making it clear that noone, NO ONE however important on earth, can stand against God's plans.
Pharoah's own household was the safest place for the grooming of the Hebrew leader who would go on to lead the Jews out of Egypt! A leader who would lead the Hebrew slaves into freedom from Pharoah's cruel and despotic rule!
I bet Pharoah didn't see that one coming!

Dear ones: We may be in a tough predicament today. There may be no way of escape. Doom seems imminent. Ungodly laws are passed... The situation appears hopeless.

No need to panic. The same God who rescued Moses and elevated him to be the leader of the Jews, to lead them into freedom, that same God is working today! Our Lord is the same yesterday, today and forever. Let's put our trust in Him. Let us not give in to fear, which is what the Enemy desires.

No matter what the Enemy brings against us, God is more than able to deliver us! And to deliver us completely! Praise His name!

Exodus 1:15-2:10☕

A Mother's Strategy and Sublime Sister's Action Plan in Crisis...

✅The Birth of a Baby is a time of Unspeakable Joy and Celebrations. But in the household of Baby Moses, what was meant for joy turned into anxious moments because a 3 month old baby cannot be hidden for too long, Hebrews 11:23

_✅Baby Moses's Mamma had a choice, she could either have thought about what God could do instead of thinking about what she could not do.

✅In Exodus 1:22-2:3, just in four verses we can see the Methodology and Mode of Operations she used for the Mission Impossible. Meticulous Strategies with Precision Execution of God's Marvellous Plan. God's Word became the Surgical Scalpel to cut off the Enemy's Plans.

✅If she had continually thought about the great difficulty of her situation she would end up in depair, unable to find her way out, feeling trapped and press the panic button! That would have created toxic thinking to do irrational things and making the problem worse!

✅She rather by Faith chose to make the Lord she Loves her, Strength, Rock, Fortress, Deliverer, God, Refuge,Shield, Horn, Salvation and Stronghold, a Ten Layered Bullet Proof Vest as God's Armour, the Shield of Faith against the Enemy.

✅Don't go Naked into the Battle Field for your Children and Family, you got to be Dressed properly Spiritually to Stand up against the onslaught of Pharaoh's Decrees.

✅Between Exodus 1:22-2:3, just in four verses we can see the Methodology and Mode of Operations she used for the Mission Impossible. Meticulous Strategies with Precision Execution of God's Marvellous Plan. God's Word became the Surgical Scalpel to cut off the Enemy's Plans.

✅She turned her disappointment into her appointment, she turned her obstacles into opportunities, she turned the Killer River Nile into a Life Saving River, instead of Throwing her baby into the Nile, she Placed him on the Nile, _among the crocodiles and alligators, among the floating corpses of other baby boys, among the reeds where he will be found!

Location is vital. Baby Moses must be located. Positioning the Problem with a Solution. The Answer is in the Problem. There is a Treasure in every Tribulation. She made an Ark that will float and not drown, an Ark that will not allow one drop of Polluted Waters to touch her Child, an Ark that will keep out the smell of the baby so that he doesn't become a meal for the deadly reptiles. The Ark must not flow along with the tide. The must not be swept away by the World's ways. The Ark must be float with the boundaries of the rescue and safety zone.

✅Her tears must have mixed with the tar and the pitch for coating, Exodus 2:3. What an Engineering! She got no diploma in building Arks. But the same God who built a Gigantic Noah's Ark is capable of building a Miniature Baby's Ark. We got an Ark and His Name is Jesus. It will fit the Whole World. One Size and Free Size. Jesus's Ark will Fit a Baby, a Household, a Community and the Whole World

✅Moses's Mamma built an Altar in the Midst of her Difficulties in the place where she lived, in Egypt in a place called Goshen. She had nothing but the Voice of God. No multiple versions of the Bible, no Bible Concordances, no Promise Boxes, and no Multi Media Electronic devices to do a Search on how to build Arks.

Moses Mama just had the Raw Word of Yahweh in her Spirit and her Raw Faith. Moses' mother's name is Jochebed, which means, Yahweh is my Glory The Ark was built by Faith and by Facts, Hebrews 11:23.

She was plugged into Yahweh's Frequency to find the way out to save her son who will later save a Nation and give the World a Great Prophet who will write the Five Books of the Bible.

Her son would later write... Stand and See the Deliverance of the Lord,Exodus 14:13, Because he learnt it from his infancy and childhood, because his mother nursed him in the palace Exodus 2:9, 2Timothy 1:5, 3:15.

The River Nile that was a Threat to Baby Moses, Yielded to Support his Life that was in Danger. Somehow the River Nile must have sensed, that the Baby Lying on its Waters will One Day order lthe Red Sea to Roll Over and Move Over to make Way for him and his people Israel He had to learn to overcome the River Nile before Mastering the Red Sea! Exodus14:16.

Early lessons in life for future great exploits. Our children cannot do great exploits from their Comfort Zone. God is interested in their character development. They should learn from the Combat Zone

Some of us think that only Moses's Mother was involved but his Pappa was there all along in Acts 7:20-21, Hebrews 11:23.

Unless a Mother builds her House with Wisdom, Proverbs 14:1 and a Father builds his House with Wisdom, Matthew 7:24, the Children cannot be Located and Delivered by the Daughters of Pharaoh, instead they will become the bait for Pharaoh's Nile River Monsters.

We can either foolishly Throw our Kids INTO this World's River Nile or with Wisdom PLACE them on the Nile in their own Ark so that they can be Found and Drawn Out by the Hand of God. Every Woman is the Daughter of the King to draw out our Children from the dangers of the World's Nile.

Moses Sublime Sister Miriam, used her thinking gift to watch over her baby brother, until he was safe in the arms of his rescue team and then brilliantly brings her own mother to nurse her baby brother, to encourage maternal bonding and avoiding maternal deprivation and monetary benefits to feed the household, Exodus 2:4-9.

Child of God, don't look at your circumstances but look up to the Lord, who will draw you out of your crisis. Once you come out of your crisis become a God seeking, risk taking, basket making mother and father and an audacious, sublime sister or brother for those who are in need in dangerous waters around you...Amen.
