All about Giving
God specifically called Moses to come to mount Sinai alone. Moses went and God spoke with him on the seventh day. The first thing God told Moses was:
"Speak to the children of Israel, that they bring Me an offering. From everyone who gives it willingly with his heart you shall take My offering (Exo 25:2).
The offering was for God. He is the Maker of the heavens and the earth. Everything that we see is His. Yet, He told the children of Israel to bring Him an offering. God did not inform the reason for the offering in the first instance.
Giving is an act of obedience; it is an act of faith. Abraham didn’t know why God asked him to offer Isaac. God never told Abraham that He was testing His obedience and faith. God told him to give and Abraham gave.
God told Moses that he must accept offering only from those who gave Willingly. Giving must come from a Willing Heart. There should never be any compulsion; giving should never be with grudges or be forced.
So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver (2 Cor 9:7).
We give because God loves a cheerful giver. Giving is God’s nature. For God is the best Giver. One can never outdo God as He gave His Only Begotten Son for the sins of the entire humankind.
God next told Moses what were the articles that the children of Israel had to give as an offering (Ex 25:3-7). It is interesting to note that 1) God asked the children of Israel for offering. 2) Then He told them the list of the materials to be given as offering. 3) And finally, He informed Moses the reason for the offering.
God never explains why He wants us to give. When God asks us to give, we trust Him and give because we love Him and obey Him. We give from what God has given us. We give not because we have surplus, but we give because God has asked us to give.
We must always remember that giving is an act of:
"Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you." (Lk 6:38).
God bless us to be channels of blessings.

The Atonement Cover becomes the Mercy Seat and Speaking Place....Exodus 25:21-22
God was getting ready to dwell among His people and gave instructions for building of the Tabernacle. His Dwelling Place had to be Holy. The people had to be made Holy. He had to Prescribe a way for the murmuring crowd to approach His Throne Room. In spite of all their weakness and failings, Jehovah God desired to dwell among them. He wanted to Tabernacle among them. And because in the wilderness they dwelt in tents, this royal palace was ordered to be a tabernacle, that it might move with them.
The Israelites on two occasions said to the Lord that they will do everything the Lord has Commanded them to do in Exodus 19:8 and Exodus 25:3 and we know that they did not keep the Commandments. God set His Standard Very High and gave them the Rules by which they were to conduct their lives and live Holy.
Besides the Main Ten Commandments there were around 600 by-laws that were given to maintain their moral and social responsibilities to protect the community and for law and order to be maintained some are in Chapters 21-24.
The Law was given to to show them that without God they can do nothing to keep the whole Law. The Law which was Good, Holy and Perfect but could not save them or keep them from falling short, Exodus 20:1-17.
God in His Mercy knew that they could not keep God's Commandments, so He made room to atone for their sins through the sacrificial blood offering made on their behalf by the High Priest.
The Pattern of the Tabernacle and the Furnitures were given to Moses, Exodus 25:9 and the Ark and The Atonement Cover which was the Mercy Seat was the furniture that was mentioned first, where the atonement for the sins by the sprinkling of the animal blood.
Jesus our Lord and Saviour is the Picture of The Mercy Seat, in his sinless nature, which saw no corruption, in personal union with his Divine nature, atoning for our sins against it, by his death
In Revelation 11:19 we see the Ark relocated to the Heavenly Temple. Follow the Ark in the Tabernacle and it will point to Jesus who is Our Ark, who was Hidden in OT and Revealed in the NT Scriptures.
God chose the people of Israel to be a peculiar people to himself, above all people, and He Himself would be their King. We are the Royal Priests who carry the Ark of His Word in this World. We are the Royal Priests and Holy Nation, 1 Peter 2:9. And that is why We Need to Read the Word to be Living Epistles for others to Read us and come to know God, 2 Corinthians 3:2-3.
God would speak to Moses above the Cover of the Ark, between the Cherubim. Between the Cherubim would be the place the Blood of the sacrificed animals was sprinkled and under the Cover of the Ark the Testimony of the Tablet of Stones was placed, Exodus 25:21-22.
God chose to speak to Moses between The 10 Commandments inside the Ark and the Blood on the Mercy Seat.
Child of God, Remember that, God Who spoke between the Blood and the Word, is the same God who still speaks between the Blood of Jesus and the Word of God. In the Word of God we read that the Blood of Jesus speaks, Hebrew 12:24. The High Priest in the OT could only cover the sin annually with the animal blood, but Jesus our High Priest removed the sin forever with His own Blood, Hebrews 9:11-14 &10:11-14.
Are we washed in the Blood and Soaked in the Word? Then God Himself will meet and speak through the Holy Spirit in of our spirit
We overcome the Devil by The Blood and the Word of our Testimony... Revelation 12:11...Amen.
