✝ Holiness and Purity ✝

Our God is loving and compassionate but He is very strict about holiness and purity among His chosen people.

Be ye holy for I am holy is His great call for holiness. God expects His people to lead a holy life free from sins like pride, jealousy, anger, etc. God also expected His people to live a Separated, Pure and a Consecrated life.

Any one with an infectious skin discharge or one who is ceremonially unclean were sent outside the camp till they were cleansed. The Lord was so careful about purity and cleanliness because He dwelt among the people in the camp.

In the chapters to be read today there is a transition from outward visible defects and sins to the more personal hidden ones.

Issues of purity that began with physical marks were extended to interpersonal relationships and then intrude into the more intimate relationships of purity of man and woman in their marriage.

The Lord taught Moses and Aaron how the Israelites should be blessed. They had to put the holy name of God on the Israelites and then God would bless them.

The Lord is so very strict about His laws and regulations. At the same time He is a God who blesses His people.

Personal check up
When we pray we must first examine ourselves and see if we have outward visible sins or more personal hidden ones or any sinful relationships.

Next we have to set it right before we ask for His blessings. Only then can we expect God's Acceptance, Favour, Grace, Blessings and Peace.

1) Confession and Restitution

They must confess their sin and make full restitution for what they have done, adding an additional 20 percent and returning it to the person who was wronged.Numbers 5:7 NLT

2) Marital Faithfulness: Today many families are destroyed and cursed because of Unfaithfulness in married life

3) IMMUNITY Those who are faithful and holy were immune to the curse. Today, Jesus has redeemed us from the curse of law... Those who call upon the name of the Lord are saved... Just being a Christian namesake won't save you... Jesus has said those who take the broad road are many...

“You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it. Matthew 7:13‭-‬14 NLT

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Tell Aaron and his sons to bless the people of Israel with this special blessing: ‘May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace.’ Whenever Aaron and his sons bless the people of Israel in my name, I myself will bless them.” Numbers 6:22‭-‬27 NLT

Today, those who have received baptism in the name of Jesus Christ have received the Holy Spirit who dwells in you. A priestly anointing is there on each one who has received the Holy Spirit. Be a blessing for the World and those around you. Never use your tongue to curse others.

5) LISTEN TO GOD'S VOICE Whenever Moses went into the Tabernacle to speak with the Lord, he heard the voice speaking to him from between the two cherubim above the Ark’s cover—the place of atonement—that rests on the Ark of the Covenant. The Lord spoke to him from there. Numbers 7:89 NLT

Moses had a constant and regular communion with God. The Lord spoke to Moses whenever he went to the Tabernacle.

As Christians today we should have fellowship with the Holy Spirit. God always speaks to his children. Pray and seek fellowship with the Holy Spirit to listen to his voice

Numbers Chapter 7

In  Exodus 40:1-11 the Lord gave Moses the directions :
》 Setting up the tabernacle (v 1-8)
》 Anointing and Consecration of its furnishings, altar, utensils for God's service (v 9-11)
Moses' obedience to God's command is recorded in today's passage (7: 1).

The Tribal Leaders (Num 1:4-16) brought their offerings which were loaded on six carts and were presented before the Tabernacle (7:2-3).
The Lord accepted their offerings (7:4-5)

~ A Silver Plate
~ A Silver Bowl
~ A Gold Dish
~ Animals (Bull, Ram, Lamb, Goat, Oxen)

The order of presentation of the offerings to the Lord is the same as that of the setting of tents around the Tent of Meeting (2:1-29 > 7:12-78)
It begins with the clans of Judah and ends with Naphtali.

The Lord said, "Each day one leader is to bring his offering for the dedication of the altar"(v 11). Each day the Leader has to offer Bull, Ram, Lamb & Goat
Burnt Offering
Sin Offering
Fellowship Offering
Grain, Olive oil & Incense
Remember each tribes brought the same offerings for 12 days. It was indeed a BIG EVENTS
Inventory of gifts and offerings comes to a total figure: 12 Silver Plates, 12 Silver Bowls, 12 Gold Dishes and 252 animals.
The presentation of the offerings was:
(A lesson for us)

1) They brought the same offerings and the same gifts, no matter about the size of the tribe.
It shows that all were equal before God
2) Every tribes participated.
It shows their unity.
3) Every tribes obeyed God's command
It shows their sense of belongingness.

May the Christ-like Love, Peace and Unity dwells amongst us

Numbers 6: 24 :- “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace”.

Aaron’s blessing is one of the most important benedictions in Scripture. One of my Favourite verse.

Sometimes we all feel as if we've been left out in the cold. We feel like God must have His attention elsewhere and He didn't see that problem that came up or realize we needed a quick resolution.

God really does care about us.
God really does see all the problems.
God really is hearing our prayers and taking care of what we need.

 He will protect us,
 rescue us,
be with us,
answer us,

honor us,
satisfy us,
give us long life and
His salvation.

He wants us to know that He loves us with His everlasting Love

God loves us and blesses us, EVEN THOUGH WE DON’T DESERVE IT.

That’s grace………...

What more do we need
